Last weekend when we were in Oxford Circus tube station, I suddenly noticed there were no adverts anywhere.

Don’t get me wrong – I hate adverts, mostly for the simple reason that there’s too damn many of them. I’ve also learned to tune them out, for the most part, so it was interesting that the lack of them was so distinctive. It wasn’t just the platforms either, the escalators and adjoining tunnels were the same. It was kind of freaky.

What I’d give for a small pile of sticky Red X’s in this situation…
By the way, there are two stations in Zone D according to the map
